Card making for Beginners

Although most of us already had card making experience at school, not all of us are already adept and expert when it comes to making card. Some of us even detest the first time that we made a card simply because we didn’t like the output. We were traumatized to the point that we would really vow not to work on a card making project ever again.

But if we would really think about it, card making is a gift that we should enjoy. Our ability to make cards could help us go places and become the best person that we could ever be. It has more uses and purpose than we could ever imagine. Card making is one easy hobby that lets you show off your creative flare. In addition, many people have also testified that card making is really very relaxing and rewarding too.

It is never too late for you to learn card making. As beginners, here are some important aspect of card making that you should consider. Of course, we should take into consideration the basics of card making which is the actual card itself. This consists of a single sheet which has a crease in the center which when it is folded gives you the blank greeting base.

It’s a good thing that there are many types of card blanks available in the market. But don’t you feel overwhelmed, it is best to start out with the most popular size for card making which is the A6 card. When folded in half, this measures 148mm x 105mm (almost 6″ x 4″).

Next to the card itself is the design, you have to maintain the simplicity of the card as a beginner. It is best that you stick to a safe color scheme first before you try to experiment on other bold colors. White or ivory are the safest color that you could use for your card.

In addition to that, you should also minimize the design of your card. Do you know what possibly went wrong during your first card making project, it is possible that you overly decorated your card. There are already far too many designs in your card that they all contradict each other and thus giving you an awful overall output. Stick to the minimalist theme when designing the card and you would never ever go wrong.
